Mar 17, 2017 Download WhatsApp Plus. The buzz surrounding the WhatsApp upgraded version as WhatsApp Plus (sometimes also called as WhatsApp+) is on the web since a long time and people have upgraded to so claimed pro version of WhatsApp. But this doesn’t officially come from the team WhatsApp, infact some other team has backed upon introduction of it.
Motorola is one of the most-renowned smartphone makers in the world thanks to the many firsts it was able to score in terms of technologies in the smartphone category. Now a part of Lenovo, Motorola has founded 90 years ago and has the title of ‘first mobile phone’, ‘first base station’ and more on its name. According to The Next Web, Motorola created the first car radios in 1930, the first portable handie-talkie in 1951, first pager in 1956, the first large-screen portable cordless television in 1960, color TV in 1974, first Motorola radio transponder used by Neil Armstrong on the surface of the moon in 1969, the first commercial cell phone in 1973 that was named DynaTAC 8000X and the rest is history.
Android 10, the 10th iteration, is the latest addition to the Android OS and features a straight-forward moniker compared to the dessert names that Google stuck too for a decade now. The new name i.e. Android 10 was confirmed before its launch and the event was followed on September 3rd. Apparently, Android 10 supports a plethora of APIs, features, and functionalities ranging from security to privacy, ease of use to functionalities, etc such as dark mode, support to foldable devices and 5G network, improved gestures and user interface, revamped permission-based model for apps and services, etc.
Android 10 is the latest in the Android OS series after Android Pie 9.0 released last year. The OS just made its official launch and has pushed its global rollout on all Google Pixel devices and Essential Phone and will further push the updates for partnered devices under Project Treble. The update will be released chronologically by the OEMs based on their priority so in case if you are using a phone that was released this year, it is likely that you will get to use Android 10 on your device much earlier than the phones released last year.

Dark Mode: Android 10 introduces a system-wide built-in Dark Mode to smartphones. It is light on eyes as well as saves a tonne of battery life otherwise consumed by lighting up displays all day long.
Digital Wellbeing: The battle against phone addiction isn’t an easy-to-win battle because we as humans are glued to it. Digital Wellbeing provides functionalities that try to rectify your habits by providing inputs on how much time you spend on the phone in a day and more. It also has Focus Mode that temporarily blocks apps by going off until your work is done.
Family Link: Nowadays, kids are exposed to stuff online more than ever. There are a bunch of parental control apps and services available but Family Link is a first-party app comes preloaded with Android 10. It tracks how much time your children spend on any app and insights such as screen time, apps and web activities, content restriction module and more.
Gesture Navigation: Contentious as it may be, using the newly introduced gesture-based navigation is excellent. Inspired by iPhones, the new navigation system comes as optional and uses the edges of the display to either go back (left & right edges) or home screen (slider at the bottom).
Smart Reply: Want to reply to a text or email you receive instantly or just want to acknowledge it? Smart Reply is at work as it provides a few possible responses you can send on a single tap without writing anything and works on a plethora of messaging apps. It can also suggest actions using a single tap.
Enhance control over Location & Privacy: Control over what data is being shared with apps is crucial nowadays when there are millions of instances of data breach and whatnot. With Android 10, the OS provides better controls over privacy and allots you options whether to allow apps from using location services only when you allow it or as per what you select.
Sound Amplifier: This feature lets the user use Sound Visualizer to tweak music or you can leave it up to the system to reduce noise and increase sound bass and quality.
Here I have curated a list of smartphones launched every year since Android was introduced on Motorola smartphones back in 2012. Note that the upgrades are dependent on carriers (if locked) and regions as well since many carriers either as a whole or in particular region might not provide the upgrade even if the device is eligible so here’s a tentative list of Android 10 supported Motorola devices for reference although not confirmed yet.

This is a reasonable question that pops up in your mind if you have gone through the list of Android 10 supported Motorola devices that I have mentioned above. Apparently, there are many movable parts and gears that dictates if your phone will get any update or not.
First up, if your phone has already received two major Android upgrades then you can just rest since your phone is not eligible for a third unless specified earlier. The process of rolling out Android updates is messy at the moment as Google is facing a huge gap in adoption also called as OS fragmentation where there are devices that are still holding on the first Android OS even after a decade, unlike Apple iPhones that are updated for 4 to 5 years before dropping the support.
Coming back to Android OS, it goes through a said procedure i.e. Google → OEM → (Carrier) → End-user that increases the time it would take to reach your device. Furthermore, OEMs have to assess if its devices will support the increases prerequisites that comes with every major upgrade or else the phone would drop support. Furthermore, the device must have been launched within a maximum of two years to receive an update or else it will not receive any further updates as well.
Also, Android OEMs roll out a plethora of devices in a year which means they have to provide support for these devices. When a new OS comes and also new devices, Android smartphone makers simply drop support for older devices with varying specifications and concentrate on the newer ones which are also the largest reason why your phone isn’t eligible for any further update even though its specifications say otherwise.
Your phone is no longer supported by Android OS and you are stuck on the last major upgrade you had. Take Android Pie for example. This means that you can no longer upgrade to Android 10 but there’s a way out if you still want to try something new on your phone without actually spending on buying a new phone.
Custom ROM makers such as LineageOS, Pixel Experience, and others use the Android OS as a foundation to create their own custom ROMs that support a wider range of Android smartphones compared to a very few that Android supports with every major update. Note that installation can be a bit tricky so keep a how-to guide handy but once set up, you can enjoy a different UI with many features that weren’t available in the stock Android.
Here is the list of Android 10 custom ROM for Motorola devices.
